Annie + Jared {The Wedding}

Annie and Jared had a beautiful wedding on a lake with horse and carriage and all. I was honored to record their day. These are my favorite shots from the day. All the rest of the pics will be up online soon. Keep an eye out for the link.

Stephanie + Justin {Tie The Knot}

It feels like I just shot engagement pictures for Stephanie and Justin and all of the sudden, here is their wedding. We ran all over the West Side and finished off with a reception up in West Chester. The day was beautiful and everything went just perfect. The bride was beautiful, the groom was looking good, and everybody was ready to party at the reception. Take a look at my favorite shots from the day!

The groom welcomes his new sister in-law with some cake to the face!

Stephanie + Justin {Engagement}

Stephanie and Justin met me downtown to do an urban session.  We started by walking all around fountain square before heading to an abandoned rail yard where we got some fantastic shots.  Before you knew it, I was looking down at my watch and I couldn't believe we had been shooting for two hours.  I had a blast!

Liz + Bryan = Married

When Liz contacted me from Chicago to photograph her wedding I felt honored.  She has almost a bazzilion choices just here in the Cincinnati area, but she liked my work.  It doesn't hurt that her brother Jesse is my assistant.  Jesse told me early that he would be in the wedding so that left me to find a replacement for the night.  My wife Amber jumped in with both feet and did a great job considering it was her first time.  The wedding was at the Cincinnati Nature Center in an old lodge built in the late 1800's.  The decorations were beautiful and made my job to get great shots so easy.  Here are a select few of my favorites.....

Here is my wonderful wife who stepped in and became my assistant for the night!

Opening Day

Not really what you think.  Opening Day for Wedding Season.  It's finally here.  I feel like I sit under a rock all winter long which isn't really true, I still have a bunch of sports I shoot.  Wedding Season always seems to start just after that first really warm couple of days and you just can't wait to get out there and enjoy them.  Enjoy the day I did.  We couldn't ask for better weather as we traveled all over the west and northwest parts of Cincinnati.  My first wedding was for Julie and Dan.  Here are some of my favorites from the day....

Swing and a miss!

Kara = Senior Session

The weather is finally getting warm enough here in Cincinnati to venture out and do some Senior Sessions!  It's nice to get back into the swing of things after a long and cold winter.  Kara was the perfect student to do this.  She is a natural!  Hope you enjoy.....

More new Samples

This time it's an album and a proof box that were handmade for me.  At first I kept thinking how expensive these were, but now that I have them in my hands, I can see why.  The quality is amazing and the workmanship exquisite.  Here is a little taste.  Come visit me at my upcoming wedding shows to see them in person........

The Ribbon binding is made from Swiss Ribbon.

Here is the book in the custom made box

Here is some detail on the proof box

New Samples Are Arriving!

Over the next few weeks I will be getting in some of my samples from my new vendors. I will take pictures of them as I get them and post them up here.

I'm really excited to get in some presentation cases as well as DVD sleeves that I can use at wedding shows.  Here are some pics.  I should also have a new album up next week, so be sure to check back for that.

Ah the Wedding Show Season

Well winter break is over.  As a wedding photographer I gon't really pick back up until the spring, but the season of wedding shows is starting up.  Next week I have my first show put on by the Wedding Mafia up in Dayton, Ohio.  Details can be found at www.weddingmafia.com or on their facebook page.  For those in Cincinnati that don't want to travel, there will be two Wedding Mafia shows here.  The first on is on February 11th and the other one is in May.  If any of you will be at any of these shows make sure to stop by and say hi to me.  It will be nice to see a familiar face.

The Coldest Engagement Shoot Ever

I know all you northerners or canadians are going to call me out by saying i'm a wuss but 15 degrees............that's farenheit you crazy Canadians....... is pretty cold in my book.  Actually that was the wind chill.  Anyway, Adam and Brittany braved the cold weather and met me down on fountain square for a short photo session. We tried to get out of the cold when we could. The point of this shoot (for me) was to use all avaiable light downtown (using no flash at all for you non photo people). This meant using very high ISO's so I decided most pictures looked better in Black and White. Hope you enjoy!

The Severn Clan

Way back in the fall my wife wanted to get some family photos of us.  We packed up the kids and headed down the road to East Fork State Park armed with cameras and gear.  Luckily my step mom Lori was in town and was able to help get some of the pictures.  I finally got time to work on these.  I know I haven't had much on here recently, but hang on, I'll be posting up a bunch of stuff soon!

The Wedding Mafia

I am very honored and proud to announce that I am the newest photographer in the very exclusive group The Wedding Mafia here in Cincinnati.  I was floored when they asked me to be a candidate and didn't really expect it to go any further.  I mean the other photographers in the group have been around forever and I'm the young guy on the block.  When they told me I had a spot and was in if I wanted it, I was blown away.  For those who don't know what the Wedding Mafia is or what it's about, I'll explain it a little.  The Wedding Mafia is based here in Cincinnati and is a tight knit group of higher end wedding vendors.  They pride themselves in only including the best of their craft as well as those who have a superb record of customer service.  They only pick 5 vendors from each area of the wedding industry.  I feel honored to be included in who they pick as the top five photographers in the region.  What does this means for my clients and future clients?  You can rest assured that you will have one of the best photographers in the region who prides himself on my fantastic customer service.  My clients can also log onto www.weddingmafia.com and have access to the very best wedding vendors in the entire industry.  Again, it's just such an honor to be included with the very best photographers in the Region.
